Exploring Shamanism: A panel discussion with Mara Bishop, Amelia Vogler and Riverdave Owen

Registration is closed for this event
Around the world shamans are called by many names, among them sorcerer, healer, walker between the worlds, or medicine man/woman.

If Online Registration is not available, tickets may still be available at the door.  We will add a note here if the event is sold out.

Have you ever wondered what a shaman does or whether they can help you in your daily life?

Tonight’s program, a panel moderated by  Larry Burk, MD, CEHP, will feature three local people who have studied and undergone rigorous training to become a practicing shaman.

Mara Bishop, Amelia Vogler and Riverdave Owen will share their perspectives on their role as Shaman, explain what  it is to journey, and the relationship of   power animals,  nature  and healing.

Shamans may inherit the role from their ancestors, come into it by surviving an accident or disease, display talent for it as a child, or  seek training on their own.

They are excellent problem solvers, diagnosticians, psychologists, storytellers, teachers, and hypnotists, accessing power and information from nature, plants, animals, elements, and the spirit world.
